Welcome!
This is Cavemanon’s official development blog, where we will be posting in-depth updates, information, and other lore about our current (and past!) projects. Posts here will go into much more depth than we could on our Twitter and also provide us with more flexible types of posts (music, game pre-releases, and much more). We hope you’ll find this place enjoyable to read and participate in!
Premium Posts
As apart of our initiative to secure consistent funding so we may continue active development at the quality standard we have set for ourselves, we’re offering pay-walled, premium development-related content to our users, this includes:
- (Minimum) Monthly updates on development
- Behind the scenes concept-art
- Commenting privileges
- Ability to vote in polls that can effect development
- Access to sharable, early test builds of our games and software
This funding will ultimately go towards financially supporting our talented team of developers, artists, writers, and musicians in their endeavor to bring you an experience worth your time. We hope that the incentives we offer provide those willing to pay us with influence in the project and proof that we’re working hard towards making our vision into reality.
Why a Paywall?
In short:
The Pizza Tower guy proved this model works. We wish to emulate his success.
For the longer answer:
Engaging in long-term development projects and supporting already released projects requires consistent funding. Game development, when selling software directly, only offers funding in burst amounts. Not to mention, you can easily pirate software that already exists, hitching our entire business strategy on a broken fundamental is not a good idea.
These burst amounts of funding are great for releasing subsequent projects in a short time-span, but for larger projects (projects we intend to partake in), development time can drag out for multiple years. We would like a way to support this longer form of development while also providing our die-hard fans with a stream of content so they don’t have to question if the project is alive or not. A paywall works as a great compromise to permit both to happen.

Getting ready for those vote polls ๐
I’m not sure if you can do this but you should consider changing the margin of the body of this page from pixels or rem to vw. Viewing anything in mobile is a nightmare haha
Just did what I could to make this better. Do comment if there’s any further issues.
works fine now. many thanks
So I just supported the thing and I have to comment: How come some of the blog posts don’t show up when I click the blog archive link, but I can get to them when I hit the previous or next buttons on some of the posts that I can see?
Sorry about that, but I did just fix it. The list we had didn’t extend far enough down to capture every post.
