Oh… amazing blog, this was phenomenal, thank you for doing a side by side videos of storyboard-animatic-final, and also those render passes. Love seeing the process of professionals, will await for the next one! I know it will be good!

As an additional fun fact, we considered killing off Guts during this part of ending 1, but restrained ourselves.”

That’s not a fun fact, that’s an admittance to a war crime!

Gosh – Amazing stuff shown here, that’s for sure… Really good to see all the work and effort put into all of these animations, that certainly helped bring a lot of life to the game. Hell, I actually got to play the game (and SG afterwards) thanks to the animations. Just a few weeks after the game was out, the animation of the dance was already doing rounds and– Just 5 seconds in, I knew it was far too important. That gator was too pretty, and something deep within me said “yeah, I NEED to see this myself” – stopped the video before seeing anything else, and played it.
    Gotta say
    It was definitely worth it.
Who knows – I may not have joined if it hadn’t been for the WOW effect from the work put out in just those first few seconds of that loop and change of camera.

I imagine it needs not to be said, but amazing work with all of these, everyone.
    Definitely incredible work.
    Thank you all~

I’ll be honest, the first time I heard of Wani was because of that one TikTok that spoiled the dance scene, but even in my doomscrolling, that dance stuck with me and eventually I got and played the game blind, I’m not gonna yap about how this game helped me grow since I already did that in my review, but this game came into my life at the right time and helped me get on the right track.
And this shows that the animations in this game are something so special that even someone like me, who hasn’t heard of Cavemanon or Snoot Game and hasn’t read any VNs, can get intrigued.
This and the artbook have shown me the thought process behind these cutscenes, principles which I will incorporate into my own.

Do you have the TikTok video in question? I’m interested in seeing it. No worries if you can’t get it though.

No sheet music at the moment but will look into it. I have used Musescore in the past so the process won’t be too difficult and straightforward. Happy to hear folks are interested in learning some of the piano tracks 🙂

That would be awesome and greatly appreciated if you would consider the thought

I am also interested in having the scores, I would appreciate if you could share them with me.

This was really great. It really proved how much polish went into the final produce, leaving little desired from an artistic consumer standpoint.

There were subtle visual tells I noticed while poking around the art in the gallery, and it was nice to finally see the insider process and how it went from sketches, to a heart-rendering moment in the story, specifically the sweet little E4 dance that escalates into the climax.

Also it’s funny how Olivia in the PT mod ended up feeling like her post-ending self, so good on you.
